• We have had this water heater for 5 years and have had no problems what-so-ever until this week, the bottom element has finally went out, I called Whilpool about the issue, and in less htan 5 minutes I had a Warranty authorization number to take to Lowes to get a FREE element. Thhis was amazing service from Whirlpool!!! After picking up the element, I went home to install the element and found the that the old element could not be removed due to corrosion and being seized in the tank, I called Whirlpool again and described the situation to the customer rep, she issued a Warranty authorization to replace the entire water heater. • I read other reviews on how the unit gave them low water pressure, and it almost steered me from buying this unit. I kept reading and others seemed to not have the issue. I went a head and purchased the product. The install was VERY easy. Once I had it all installed, I tested the water and sure enough, I had low water pressure. I began to get upset because I didn’t listen to the reviews. I decided to check my screens from my faucets and sure enough, they were clogged. I cleared them out and now have the same, if not better water pressure than before. Over all, The unit was easy to install, the water heats well, and the problem with the low water pressure had nothing to do with the unit at all.
• Made a quick online purchase after my previous water heater began leaking. In less than an hour, Lowe’s had it ready for me to pick up. Installation was very easy (I’m certainly not a plumbing pro) and buying the Whirlpool adapter kit gave me everything I needed to hook up to my water lines. The hardest part of this entire thing will be dragging my old water heater out of the basement. It has now been a week and so far everything is working great. I can’t yet attest to its efficiency; hasn’t been enough time, but I will do a follow-up when I can. Can’t beat the price…just hoping it holds up over the long haul.

Took a little over an hour to install, and that was only because my old fittings (from a 20-year-old unit) didn’t match this one, and I had to go back to get the right ones. Used Sharkbite adaptors to go from my CPVC water supply line to the brass fittings on top of the unit. Best invention ever. Worst part of the whole process was getting the heater down the basement stairs and lifting it into place. Definitely not a one-person job. Once installed, took about 15 minutes to fill, and I had a hot shower an hour later. I can’t obviously attest to longevity or durability, but it’s a USA-made Whirlpool.
• well bought this product Saturday and well it was busted called the number on the box and waited forever for some one to answer did alot of testing on voltage, and then a deal where i leave the power on to heater with no water going to it . just to see if this product would reach temp. well it didn’t. So they give me a number to take to Lowes so that i can replace the heating elements myself and then hope it works. All I can say after this is I remember a time when we could stand behind a product we made for the consumer. Not give you a product thats junk and needs repairs then tells the consumer to repair it and say i hope it works.
